These can be installed outside, as GAK string collectors are dustproof, fully insulated and protected from water jets coming from all directions (Protection Class IP 65). GAK string collectors are generally used when modules and inverters are separated by a great distance - no tedious cabling of all module strings over the entire distance is required.
